Our U13 performance squad traveled west to Dorchester for their latest JPL Warriors Cup Group Stage match, securing a valuable point in a competitive contest.
The brand new squad got off to a flying start, quickly finding the back of the net to take an early lead. They continued to dominate the first half, controlling the game and looking like the more dangerous side. However, the opposition found their way back into the match after the break, using long balls to exploit space and eventually taking a 2-1 lead.
With the team now chasing the game, the girls showed great composure. A moment of brilliance from our winger saw her beat the opposition's backline with a well-timed run, calmly slotting the ball home to level the score.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw, a fair result after a tough contest. The performance suggests this new squad is quickly developing into a strong, competitive team.
