Under 18 Performance Squad vs Sherborne Town Ladies Football

Our U18s Performance squad were edged out in a thrilling 4-3 encounter away against Sherborne this afternoon. Despite the narrow loss, the team showed flashes of excellent play that will give them confidence for the rest of the season.

The match was tightly contested, often resting on individual moments and fine margins. On another day, the result could easily have swung in our favour, with the players battling hard until the final whistle. While the team ultimately fell short, it's important to remember this is a new group of players who are still in the process of gelling and learning to play together. The commitment and potential on display suggest it won't be long before the results start to follow.

A special mention must go to Suzie, whose perseverance paid off handsomely as she netted two goals for the side! Her attacking instinct and hard work were a real highlight of the performance.

Congratulations to Matilda who was named our Player of the Match! Her performance was defined by nonstop running and an incredible work rate across the pitch. Not only did she dominate the midfield, but she also scored a fantastic goal that helped bring the team back into the contest. A thoroughly deserved award for a standout display!
