Under 11 Performance vs Ruislip Rangers Girls

Our U11 Performance team started 2026 with a thrilling 6-4 victory over Ruislip Rangers in the JPL Warriors U12 Green Division. After a physical encounter the last time these two sides met, the girls knew they needed to be at their best, and they delivered an outstanding display of football to blow off the Christmas cobwebs.

The match began with the girls dominating possession and creating several attacking opportunities. Despite the run of play, Ruislip struck first after pouncing on a loose ball. The girls responded with composure and found the net with a clinical left-footed finish to level the scores. This pattern continued into the second quarter; although the girls played with high intensity, they again conceded against the run of play before we scored again to bring the game to 2-2 at half-time.

The third quarter became a defensive battle as tired legs began to show. Ruislip took the lead for a third time, but the girls refused to back down. A perfectly placed free-kick resulted in a superb volley to make it 3-3 heading into the final period.

In the fourth quarter, the momentum shifted decisively. Our winger completed a powerful run down the left wing before slotting home to give the girls the lead for the first time. This was quickly followed by a strong finish and a well-deserved sixth goal. At 6-3, the result was all but secure, and while Ruislip managed a late fourth goal, the girls victory was never in doubt.

The player of the match was Ava. While every player contributed to this fantastic result, Ava’s performance was standout. Playing at center-back for the entire game, she was solid defensively while also proving to be a massive threat going forward, scoring the team's first two goals and providing the assist for the third.
