This resulted in an uncharacteristically slow start, with the group finding it difficult to reach the high performance levels they have set for themselves throughout the season.

The deadlock was broken following an unfortunate mistake at the back, and the deficit doubled shortly after following a brief lapse in concentration. Despite these setbacks, the players continued to fight for a way back into the contest. The girls created several promising opportunities to trouble the scoresheet, but the finishing touch proved elusive on the day.
