The U13 Performance squad took part in a high-stakes and incredibly competitive JPL Trophy quarter-final on February 14th against Aldershot. In a match that truly lived up to the cup-tie atmosphere, the girls displayed immense quality and composure under pressure. They looked set to progress after a hard-fought battle, only for a heart-wrenching late equaliser from the opposition to pull the game level just before the final whistle.

With the scores tied at the end of regulation, the match moved to the drama of a penalty shootout. While the girls showed great courage to step up, it unfortunately wasn't to be our day, and we narrowly missed out on a spot in the next round. Despite the tough exit, there are countless positives to take from the performance; the team proved they can compete at the highest level of the trophy circuit and showed a tactical maturity that will serve them well for the remainder of the season.

The focus now shifts back to league action, with the squad eager to channel this experience and take their clinical cup form into the next fixture.
