Under 13 (Season 2026-27) vs Paulsgrove Athletic Youth U13

With eight new players integrating into the squad after several of last year’s group progressed into the Performance pathway, this was an important early step in building new relationships on the pitch. Naturally, that understanding will take time to develop — but the potential within the group is already clear.

The girls worked hard from start to finish, stayed competitive throughout and showed a great collective spirit. Their effort out of possession was excellent, and they created good moments going forward. A little more composure in the final third would have earned them the goal their play deserved, but the signs of growth were unmistakable.

Several players have stepped up two or even three divisions and proved they can compete at this level, showing maturity, resilience and a willingness to learn. A really encouraging performance for a squad with plenty of upside as they continue to gel.

Eliza also played a key role in the team’s performance, making several superb saves to keep the group steady defensively. Her bravery, handling and decision‑making were excellent, giving the team real confidence at important moments.

Players of the Match: Olivia Barnes and Olivia Barter

Olivia Barnes was strong and composed at the back, playing a huge part in keeping a clean sheet. Her calmness under pressure and ability to step in at the right moments gave the team real defensive stability.

Olivia Barter, new to the team, applied last week’s information superbly — working hard up top and disrupting the opposition’s play throughout. Her pressing, effort and willingness to learn made a big impact on the team’s performance.
