Under 13 (Season 2026-27) vs St Francis FC U13 Rangers Girls

Our U13 team delivered a strong and composed performance today in a closely contested match against St Francis. Although the final outcome didn’t reflect the quality of the display, the girls can take real pride in how they played.

From the outset, the team showed excellent technical ability, moving the ball with confidence and purpose. Our build‑up play was controlled and intelligent, and we dictated large periods of the game — particularly in the second half, where the girls took real ownership of the tempo and demonstrated maturity in possession.

Despite creating good moments and making positive movements in the final third, we were unable to convert our play into the decisive breakthrough we needed. St Francis took their opportunity well, but it highlighted an important learning point for us: securing that first contact when the ball drops out of the air. It’s a detail we will continue to work on as part of the group’s development.

Even with the result going against us, the performance itself was extremely pleasing. The girls stayed composed, stuck to our style of play and showed clear signs of progression. They know exactly what the next steps are, and today provided a strong foundation to build from.

Player of the Match – Verity

Verity delivered an outstanding performance, showing great composure on the ball — especially when playing out from the back. She broke lines confidently and played herself out of tight areas with real intelligence. A calm, assured and technically excellent display.
