Under 8 Fire (Season 2026-27) vs Warsash Wasps Sports & FCY Black

What a game for our U8 Fire team today as they travelled away to face a very strong Warsash Wasps side in a hugely competitive and entertaining match.

Warsash started the brighter of the two teams, applying early pressure and settling quickly. The girls didn’t let their heads drop. They grew into the game, found their rhythm and began passing and moving the ball brilliantly as a team.

Once they settled, the girls played with real confidence — combining well, attacking down both channels and creating plenty of opportunities. The match soon became an exciting end‑to‑end battle, with both teams pushing forward, competing hard and refusing to give up. Several efforts struck the post or were kept out by an excellent Warsash goalkeeper who stood firm throughout.

The girls continued to show fantastic teamwork, determination and belief right until the final whistle. Their resilience after a challenging start, their willingness to work for each other and the quality of football they produced were brilliant to watch.

A superb performance from every single player today. The way they responded, stayed positive and kept battling was outstanding. A team to be incredibly proud of.

Player of the Match – Meadow
