Under 10 (Season 2026-27) vs Generation Elite U10 Girls Black

Our U10 team were involved in a tough, competitive game today against a side that worked hard, pressed well and brought plenty of physicality throughout. The girls matched their opponents for effort from the very start, competing well and keeping the game tight with limited chances at either end as both teams battled for control.

As the match went on, the contest remained closely fought. Both sides worked hard and neither gave much away, making it difficult to create clear opportunities in front of goal. Our girls showed good determination across the pitch, but the opposition’s goalkeeper was commanding whenever called upon, making it challenging to turn our play into chances.

The intensity stayed high into the next phase of the game. The girls continued to compete well and produced some good moments of football, but we just couldn’t find that final pass or finish needed to create clear openings. The opposition managed to add a goal during this spell, yet the girls kept battling and stayed committed to the work.

Right until the final whistle, the girls pushed and never stopped working. The opposition added another late on to put some daylight between the teams, but overall the goals were spread across the game rather than coming from one dominant period. It was a difficult day against a physical, hard‑working side, but the girls competed throughout and showed plenty of resilience.

There is lots to learn from this performance and plenty to take into the next game. A committed display from the whole group.

Player of the Match – Darcey

Darcey was incredibly strong on the ball and an absolute rock in defence. Calm, composed and consistently making smart decisions — a superb performance.
