Under 11 Performance (Season 2026-27) vs Andover New Street U11 Saints

The U11 Performance squad delivered a brilliant display today, playing with confidence, personality and real control across large periods of the game. From the first whistle, the girls showed the identity we are working hard to build: high pressing, intensity out of possession, quick recoveries and strong ball retention as a team.

The girls started strongly, creating several clear chances and moving the ball with real purpose. Their combination play, decision‑making and bravery in possession stood out. The opposition goalkeeper produced some excellent saves, but our girls continued to dominate the tempo and show quality in the final third.

We maintained the same rhythm as the game went on, playing quickly, finding passes into feet and into space, and consistently choosing the best option as a team. Their patience and control eventually led to a well‑worked breakthrough after another strong spell of football.

As part of their development, we rotated positions to give the girls new challenges and broaden their football education. The opposition increased their physical intensity, but our girls responded superbly — competing hard, winning duels and showing great character. While pushing forward, we were caught on a counter‑attack, but a fantastic save from our goalkeeper ensured we stayed in front heading into the final phase.

The girls continued with the same approach right until the end: intensity, teamwork and sticking to our style. The opposition pushed for an equaliser, but the team stayed organised, focused and committed. A penalty gave us the chance to extend our advantage, and from there the girls managed the game confidently, maintaining their shape and identity until the final whistle.

More important than any result, today we take away the attitude, teamwork, effort and quality of football the girls displayed. They are growing quickly, learning every week and clearly enjoying playing together. A team to be proud of.
