Atalanta FC Extends ‘Project Progress’ to U11 & U12 Age Groups

Atalanta FC has confirmed the second phase of its specialist training programme, Project Progress, with a brand-new 6-week attacking masterclass specifically designed for U11 and U12 girls.

Following the high demand of the initial U9 and U10 block, the club is now shifting focus to the older age groups. This upcoming block commences on Tuesday, 3rd March, and provides players with an elite tactical environment focused on high-level development.

Elevating the Standard

At the U11 and U12 levels, the game transitions from basic skill acquisition to tactical execution. The curriculum has been developed by our UEFA A Licenced Coach to challenge players both mentally and physically, bridging the gap between grassroots and academy-level football.

The 6-week syllabus covers:

Tactical Exploitation: Understanding half-spaces and creating 2v1 overloads.

The Transition Phase: Developing the speed of thought required for effective counter-attacking.

Clinical Execution: Mastering advanced striking techniques and crossing under pressure.

A Model for Development

By dedicating six full weeks to the attacking phase, the programme allows players the necessary time and volume of repetitions to see a genuine transformation in their game.

To maintain high coaching standards, Atalanta FC continues its commitment to small-group development. Each block is strictly limited to 15 players, ensuring that every girl receives personalised feedback and maximum contact time with the ball.

Programme Details & Registration

Sessions will be held at the Wickham Community Centre on the 3G surface. To accommodate the academic calendar, the schedule includes a break during the school holidays, with the final session taking place on April 21st.

End Date: Tuesday 21st April (No sessions during school holidays)

Time: 6:45pm – 8:00pm
