The Future is Bright: Atalanta FC Continues Call for Girls Open Sessions (Years R–5)

Atalanta FC is putting out a fresh call for young, aspiring players to sign up for their Girls Open Sessions for the 2026/27 season.

Aimed at players in School Years R to 5, these sessions serve as the primary entry point for one of the region’s most successful all-female clubs.

Atalanta FC is widely recognised for its unique development philosophy, which prioritises preparation over just participation. For the club’s youngest squads (U7–U10), the focus is on "technical resilience" and growth.

Competitive Growth: Our younger teams compete in the Hampshire Girls Youth Football League, the Junior Premier League and the Testway Youth Football League.

The "Mixed" Advantage: To build physical strength and rapid decision-making, our U8–U10 performance squads compete predominantly against boys’ teams.

Elite Transition: This rigorous foundation ensures players are fully prepared to transition into the JPL Warriors teams at the U11 and U12 levels.

The success of the Atalanta model is reflected in the achievements of its current players. Even at the youngest age groups, the club's impact is clear:

Professional Links: Current players from U9 to U12 are already training at Emerging Talent Centres (ETCs) for professional clubs, including Chelsea FC, Brighton & Hove Albion FC, and Southampton FC.

Expert Coaching: All sessions are led by professional, paid staff with support from UEFA A Licence coaches.

Technical Mastery: Players have the opportunity to engage in 6-week specialist clinics focusing on 1v1 dominance, ball mastery, and both attacking and defending situations.
