The momentum is officially unstoppable.
Fresh off their incredible success at the Med Cup last weekend, our U11 Performance team proved once again why they are a force to be reckoned with. This past weekend, the girls took on the significant challenge of "playing up" an age group, testing their mettle against high-caliber U12 opposition. The tournament featured familiar faces from the Junior Premier League (JPL) Warriors and Brighton & Hove Albion’s ETC programme.
The step up in age and physicality did nothing to slow their momentum. Throughout the morning, the girls showcased composure and technical skill from the first whistle. They secured victory in four out of their five group games, a dominant run that saw them finish at the top of the table.
In a highly anticipated final, they met a familiar and talented Worthing United U12 side. Despite the physical gap inherent in playing against older players, our girls rose to the occasion once more. With a display of clinical finishing and disciplined tactical awareness, they secured a decisive 3-0 victory to claim the trophy.
To win back-to-back tournaments—especially while competing against older opposition—is a staggering achievement. This group continues to redefine what is possible at their age level. Their success is a testament to their remarkable maturity, tactical intelligence, and pure talent. Winning one tournament is a feat; winning back-to-back tournaments while playing up an age group is a true statement of intent.
What a team. What a performance! 🏆🔥
