Under 11 Black vs Sarisbury Sparks Storm
U11 Division 2
Our U11 Black team kicked off their league campaign today with a convincing performance against Sarisbury Sparks Storm.
The girls started the match brightly, taking the lead early on. Macie's impressive pace and strength caused constant problems for the Sarisbury backline, and she was clinical in slotting home the opener. The team's momentum continued, and they quickly found themselves scoring a further two goals before the opposition pulled one back just before halftime.
The U11 Black team continued to dominate the game after the break, extending their lead further. While it was a convincing win, there's still plenty to work on. At times, the girls played some fantastic possession-based football but will be looking to do that more often in future matches. Credit to Sarisbury Sparks Storm, who never gave up and were rewarded with a second consolation goal before the final whistle.
A huge congratulations to our Player of the Match, Eva B, who was a rock at the back. She displayed incredible composure and hardly gave the ball away all game.
Well done, girls—a great start to the season and a performance to build on!
