A superb team effort saw our U9 Maroon team secure a dominant victory in a match that showcased their growing confidence and teamwork. The win was the result of a consistent and well-balanced performance across all four quarters, demonstrating their ability to adapt and control the game.

The first quarter started with a period of adjustment as the team worked to find their rhythm. Once settled, however, the players began to show more composure, building a solid foundation for the rest of the match.

The second quarter was where things really started to click for the girls. The team's passing and off-the-ball movement were excellent, leading to some beautifully worked goals. This phase of play was characterised by dominant possession and saw the team take a commanding lead.

Building on their momentum, the team's confidence soared in the third quarter. They maintained their high intensity, continuing to create and convert chances while expertly controlling the pace of the game, extending their lead further.

The fourth and final quarter saw the girls finish the match in style. With clinical finishing and solid defensive play, they comfortably saw out the match, adding two more goals.

A huge congratulations to Evie who was deservedly named Player of the Match. Her performance was outstanding, particularly in defence where she was instrumental in breaking up play and launching attacks. Evie's ability to spread the play to the wings was a key factor in the team's success, and she capped off her impressive display with a well-finished goal.
