A brilliant start from the U9 Performance team set the tone for a commanding victory. Right from the first whistle, the girls showed great desire for the ball, quickly putting the opposing defence under pressure.
Our early momentum paid off when we were awarded a free kick just outside the box. Beau stepped up and expertly converted the chance, giving us an early lead and settling the team's nerves. With confidence flowing, the girls enjoyed passing the ball forward, creating more opportunities. Sienna was the next to capitalise, calmly slotting home another goal to extend our lead.
The team's patience and passing game continued to impress throughout the match. In the second quarter, we truly began to capitalise on our chances. A flurry of goals from Edie, Bella, and Praise further cemented our control of the game.
The defence was equally solid, with Izzy putting in a dominant performance at the back. Isla provided excellent support, playing off her line to help protect the backline. In attack, Matilda was instrumental, providing numerous assists that helped us secure a comfortable victory.
Overall, it was another fantastic performance from the entire team, showcasing their skill, teamwork, and determination.
