Our U8 Fire team faced a tough challenge today against a physically larger opposition. While the size difference initially seemed to unsettle some of our players, the girls deserve immense credit for their determination and resilience, never letting their heads drop throughout the match.

The game provided valuable experience and highlighted a few key areas for development. We will continue to focus on team shape, encouraging the girls to maintain their positions on the pitch rather than chasing the ball in a bunch. We'll also work on moving the ball quicker to break down teams that crowd the midfield.

It's important to remember that most of our squad are playing a year up in this age group, making these challenging games fantastic learning experiences for their development. The spirit and tenacity they displayed today will serve them well as they progress.

A huge congratulations goes to Isla S who was awarded the Player of the Match. Isla faced some tough moments on the pitch but showed great fight and determination, consistently taking the challenge to the opposition. A well-deserved recognition for her outstanding effort!
