Massive credit must go to our girls today. Playing a difficult Sunday fixture, the team faced a significant challenge from the start, taking to the pitch with just seven players. Compounding that challenge, an incredible five of those players were actually playing up an age group!

Despite being short-handed, the girls showed tremendous character and commitment from the first whistle to the last.

On a small and often tricky pitch, the girls absolutely dominated possession. What was most impressive was their commitment to playing the brand of football we always ask of them.

Their efforts and style of play did not go unnoticed, with the match referee even giving the team special praise for their approach to the game!

The final piece—the goals—didn't quite fall their way today, meaning they deserved more from their outstanding efforts. However, the super football, the teamwork, and the heart were all fully on display.

This was a performance defined by resilience, not the final score. The team should keep their heads high after a spirited display. Well done, U10s! Keep playing that beautiful football, and the results will follow.

A special well done goes to our two Players of the Match who were both excellent today: Beau and Isla.

Beau's intelligence and passing ability from the back was outstanding.

In the sticks, Isla was immense. She supported the defenders superbly, using her quick footwork to remain calm under pressure and consistently find her teammates with precise distribution.
