Today marked a huge milestone for our U10 Performance team as they achieved their first league victory of the season in an exciting, hard-fought match.

From the opening whistle, the girls demonstrated the high-quality, patient style of play that the team is known for. The focus was on patience, ball control, and smart, side-to-side movements, systematically stretching the opposition and waiting for the vital spaces to appear.

Despite our dominance in possession, the opponents were dangerous on the counterattack. They capitalised on two quick breaks, meaning we went into the half-time break two goals down. However, the team's spirit never wavered, and the girls maintained the positive and competitive attitude that truly defines this squad.

The third quarter saw the team ratchet up the intensity. With renewed ball dominance and fantastic collective effort, the pressure finally paid off as we found the goals needed to equalise!

The final quarter was a tense affair, but our girls remained focused on creating chances. They were deservedly rewarded with the goal that completed the turnaround, securing the lead and ultimately the victory!

A special well done to Carla, whose outstanding performance and effort throughout the game earned her the Player of the Match award!

The sheer joy and pride were clear to see on the girls' smiling and happy faces at the final whistle. Well done, girls! This is a fantastic step, and we are confident this is just the beginning of a season full of moments like this.
