History in the Making: Atalanta FC Announces Inaugural Women’s Senior Team

Atalanta FC is thrilled to confirm the most significant milestone in its history: the official launch of the club’s first-ever Women’s Senior Team, set to begin competitive play in the 2026/2027 season.

This announcement marks the realisation of a long-held ambition and completes the final stage of the club’s player development structure. Known for its dedication to nurturing female talent in South Hampshire, Atalanta FC’s new senior side ensures that the incredible players developed within our youth system now have a seamless, pathway into adult football at the club they call home.

Atalanta FC is built on a foundation of ambition and success. This new team is more than just a squad; it represents the future of the club. Having already secured two JPL Warriors Divisions and four County Cups at the youth level, the club has major ambitions to climb the leagues.

A Professional Environment from Day One

To support our climb through the leagues, Atalanta FC is implementing a high-performance environment that mirrors professional academies. The senior squad will benefit from a comprehensive support structure, including:

Twice-Weekly Team Training: Tactical and technical sessions to ensure match-day readiness.

Weekly Strength & Conditioning: Specialised physical preparation delivered by professional, paid S&C coaches.

Weekly Gym Sessions: Access to dedicated facilities to build elite-level athleticism.

Expert Coaching: All sessions are delivered by a professional staff of UEFA-licensed coaches and specialists.

Furthermore, the club is currently in discussions with partners and sponsors to provide an industry-leading player package. These negotiations aim to provide all senior players with GPS performance vests for data tracking and full match and training kits.

Open Sessions: Start Your Journey This April

To begin the process of forming this historic squad, Atalanta FC is inviting prospective players to a series of Open Sessions starting Monday, 13th April.

The club is keen to hear from ambitious players who will be aged 16 or over by September 2026. The goal is to integrate these new signings with the club’s current crop of talented JPL Warriors players, forming a competitive and cohesive squad from day one.

These sessions represent a unique opportunity for aspiring senior players to join a club with a clear vision and a strong foundation of talent.
